Bike Miami Days is this Sunday!

April 23rd, 2010

Friends and Fellow Cyclists, Spring is upon us and we’re fortunate enough to have another Bike Miami Days open streets festival!

This means that the streets will be closed to cars and open to
everyone else.  There will be people walking, rollerskating, bicycling
and otherwise enjoy the streets and parks of the Grove. There will be
music, free bicycle rentals (but you DO NOT NEED TO BICYCLE) and fun
for kids. There will be lots of orange-themed goodness brought by the
Dutch Consulate in honor of Queen’s Day, a big annual holiday in the
Netherlands.

Who:  Pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers, and fun-lovers
What:  Bike Miami Days Open Streets Festival
Where:  Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133
When:  Sunday, April 25th at 9:00 am
Why:  Open streets are great fun!

It’s going to be loads of fun – an opportunity to enjoy Miami’s beautiful weather and waterfront, parks and people. There is something for everyone. Be active – ride and walk around or just relax – bring a lawn chair and soak up the sun and bay breezes as you people-watch on Main Highway, South Bayshore or Pan American Drive.

Don’t miss the Official After Party! Hosted by the South Florida Bike Coalition, this event is free to Bike Miami Days volunteers and SFBC members. For a $10 contribution to better bicycling in South Florida, you’ll enjoy a free mimosa or soda, free food, another raffle(!) and music into the afternoon. If you want to see more events like this one across South Florida, don’t miss this party! Thanks to Akashi and South Florida Bike Coalition for hosting.

HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!!!
